From the front desk

Please remember to notify the resort if you are sending guests to use your week. It is not sufficient for the guest to notify us, we need permission from YOU. Also, when you list your week for rent with the club, the club has first priority with the rental; therefore, we must be contacted prior to an owner confirming a rental on their own or depositing their week with RCI. In this way, we will avoid double bookings. It is also very helpful for you to notify the front desk of your arrival time on your Saturday check-in day. This helps to organize the maid's work on Saturday morning. Thank you!

Owners, if you have asked us to try to rent your unit, please remember to call the club first before banking your week with RCI or giving it to someone else.  It is your responsibility to keep in touch with Westwind regarding the status of your rental - we have had some close calls with double-bookings because of failure to do so.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

Gentle Reminders

Eddie no longer waits at the airport for arrivals because of flight delays and long immigration lines. Please call him on his cell phone while you wait for your luggage. His cell number is (242)-557-5383. He will then let you know if he can pick you up.

To help reduce wear and tear on the beach towels, they can be exchanged on Tuesday's and Thursday's with your other linens.  Thank you!

When departing on Saturdays, please know that any food left in your refrigerator is gladly received by your housekeeper!  We encourage you not to bring items up to the bar as we don’t have the space and they often will go to waste.

Grocery shopping online

Here's a new company to do grocery shopping online. They deliver or pre-package your orders for in-store pickup. They have their own grocery store so prices are competitive. The website is: www.thedashdeal.com

Another housekeeping issue is the extreme soiling of our towels and face cloths. Please use the kleenex provided in each unit to remove make-up - the biggest culprit!   With your help, we will need to throw away less laundry.

We have mounted an emergency cabinet in the hallway closet door, beside the office. It is available for use 24/7. In addition to medical first aid supplies, it contains our defibrillator.

As a reminder for those who enjoy the clubhouse area in the evenings to swim, socialize or watch tv, please be considerate of guests and owners staying in units 20, 21 and 22. And keep noise levels at a minimum. Closing the sliding glass doors nearest the pool will help to buffer voices as well. Everyone enjoys a good time and folks are here for rest and relaxation as well, so do keep your neighbor’s best interests in mind and be respectful of their peace and quiet!

Please follow our rules which forbid defacing the building or hanging items on the building. Screw hooks and nails used for festive holiday decorations could compromise our efforts to keep the buildings termite-free.  Each hole in the fascia board presents an opportunity for an entrance to the wood to be protected.  We all want to celebrate our holidays but we need the support of all owners in following this rule.  Also do not hang clothing items on the building.

Airlines may deny boarding to the Bahamas if your passport expires within 6 months of entry.
